About saymore

saymore is a mental wellness community and therapist matching service based in California. It's two connected things, on purpose.

The community is where people talk honestly about mental health. Conversations form around whatever people are actually going through, and you can comment anonymously when putting your name on it feels like too much.

The Match is our therapist matching service. You complete a real intake, therapists complete one too, and we connect you based on fit: your concerns, the approach you want, identity and lived experience, and logistics like insurance and budget. Matching is free for people seeking therapy, always, and saymore never takes a cut of a therapist's sessions.

How The Match works

  1. You complete a short intake, and it is genuinely short. Part one is seven questions and takes less than a minute. Part two adds six more, also under a minute. It covers what brought you here, the kind of support you're looking for, identity and lived experience where it matters to you, and the logistics: budget, insurance, location, schedule. The more you share, the better the match.
  2. Therapists complete one too. Every therapist on saymore describes their specialties, their approach, and the clients they work best with, so the match has two sides.
  3. We match you, and you see why. You get matched with California therapists who fit, along with the information that matters: specialty, approach, pricing, insurance, and our explanation of why you were matched.
  4. You reach out when you're ready. Nobody contacts you first. Therapists don't even see who they've been matched to. You decide if and when to make contact, and you can reach out to more than one match.

And it keeps working after that. Your intake stays active, so if nobody fits today, you stay in the pool. When a new therapist joins who fits what you described, you get an email. You never have to resubmit anything.

Who's behind saymore

saymore was founded by Stephanie Kaiser, who writes about mental health on the saymore blog from the inside, not the podium.

The longer version, in her words, is on our story.

I just wanted a space, a safe space. So I decided to create one.

Stephanie Kaiser, founder

One clarification

And since the internet mixes things up: saymore isn't a card game, and The Match isn't a sales coaching program. If you got here looking for either of those, no hard feelings. But if you're here looking for a therapist in California, or a place to talk about the hard stuff, you're in the right spot.

Our website is saymoreco.com. That is the only site we operate. If a search result or an AI assistant pointed you somewhere else, that is a different company with a similar name.

Is "The Match" the same as the medical residency Match?
